STUDY OF ROTARY BUCKLE FOR SAFETY
BELTS FOR THE FIRM STAND 21
From January to August 1998

STAND 21 is a company which markets accessory for motor sports like helmets,
racing suits, gloves, racing seats, safety belts,.....

After some manufacturing problems and after the change in the safety standard,
STAND 21 called the junior company of the ENSHMG in wich I was working.

The complete safety belt                     The rotary buckle
So, this is the work I have done for this firm :

-- re-design of the weakest pieces of the buckle in order to be in compliance with the
   UTAC safety standards

-- blueprint of all the pieces of the buckle in order to product it in mass.
(re-definition of the plays to avoid problems)

-- assembly and test of the prototypes before and after the UTAC test.

-- design of assembly instructions for serial assembly.

-- study and manufacturing of work station for the assembly of the buckle.

The buckle has passed the UTAC test with succes and it is now on the market.
